Download the PolyTechReader (See the left panel) and go to the Engineering Tutorial section to explore the subject of Strength of Materials. The current Version is 5.60, dated 8/22/10. The installation is free.

Our primary goal is to assist the teacher of technical subjects, the student of technical subjects, and the technical author.

Technical writing requires three important features.

The first is the ability to conveniently present equations in conventional mathematical form. If you have used the Equation Presenter in Word, the public domain software LaTex, or the Xmath feature within XML, then you understand the difficulty. The THTML scripting language interpreted by the PolyTechReader simplifies this feature. It uses globally defined variables and interprets single line equations in the Basic language syntax and automatically presents the equation in conventional mathematical form.

The second important feature is the computational capability of the PolyTechReader. If requested, it substitutes current variable values and computes results. This computational ability provides the third important feature.

The third important feature is the ability to present vector diagrams that are mathematically created to support the theory being presented. Combining this with conventional graphics can provide exceptional detailed presentations.

Download the PolyTechReader, review its features, and then join the Engineering Tutorial group and review the subjects presented.
